On February 18th, 2025, Sam Kirchner and Guido Reichstadter will go on trial for blocking the entrance to OpenAI at 575 Florida St, San Francisco, on 10/21/24 and 09/24/24, as well as blocking the road in front of OpenAI at 1515 3rd St, San Francisco, on 09/12/24. We plan to use the necessity defense, meaning our actions were justified because OpenAI is building something that could kill everyone.

Our trial will be at 9:00 am at 850 Bryant St courthouse, department 17, San Francisco.

We are currently being represented by two public defenders and could really use additional legal advice if anyone knows a professional who can help. We have tried contacting the NLG, EFF, and ACLU with no success.
